My favorite summer memory is heading to Brown County State Park each Saturday. We never really went anywhere besides their very large pool. I remember how scared I was to jump off the high-dive!!

How fun! I've been trying to take lots of pictures and document in words what we've been enjoying this summer.

Favorite summer memories are vacations to my Grandma's. I would run through her backyard, over the fence and up to the school yard to spin, slide and swing with my cousins. I would pick "flowers" (dandelions) for my grandma who would lovingly place them in a vase and display - just because they were from me. I can still close my eyes at 45 and smell the familiar fragrances of her home. Helping her pick beans and peas from her garden was also fun.

Oh, I just love Elle's Studio. Okay, favorite childhood summer memory.... Fridays at the beach on Lake Michigan with my family then heading to Grand Haven for ice cream and the musical fountain. Loved making sand sculptures with my dad and climbing the dunes.

As a child I lived on Bribie island and our front yard was the beach. It was the most amazing place to grow up....summer days were spent exploring and enjoying our sun-soaked playground....we never ran out of things to do in that environment:-)

Running in the sprinklers at my grandmother's house off Broadway. Sometimes she'd run with us fully clothed and laughing all the way. There were so many pinecones in her yard...oh the pinecones always made you stumble, but memories I'll never forget. People would drive down the street and honk as we romped about in the water.

I can't limit my "favorite" to one memory. A couple especially come to mind: when I was small, we lived in a city, had no AC, and it was HOT. My little brother and I would climb into the back seat and with Mom directing, my dad would drive us out into the country, where there'd be a cool breeze. On the way home we'd stop at what I think was a little grocery store with an orange neon sign in the window: "Meadow Gold Ice Cream." We'd get nickle (believe it!) "orange ice" cones. With sticky faces, we'd fall asleep before reaching home.
My other favorite was simply spending the summers on my grandparents' farm--playing in the barn with the new kittens, make believe, exploring, afternoon naps in Grandpa's big hammock. Lots of simple stuff, but my happiest times probably.
Thanks, Ali, for inspiring the memories!

going camping, swimming in the lake and riding our bikes all over the campground before we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows on the fire. THEN, we got to sleep in the tent (no parents, they were in the camper) and we stayed up late giggling...

Yes I'm in my forties and I remember the summer of 76. We were living in Paradise Valley and Roadrunner park had a huge celebration for the 4th of july. I'll never forget it.

Eating lots and lots of watermelon with my Nanaw...she said I could clean out a watermelon patch. It was great b/c she always cut it up for me and took all the seeds out too. The things our grandmas will do! :) I miss her...

My favorite would be one summer when we lived in Utah. The weather was gorgeous, so we packed a picnic lunch and headed out to Daddy's favorite stream to go fishing. He loved fishing. I loved that we were all together having fun.

My favorite summertime memory is swimming in the little pool on the deck. My mom would bring out buckets of hot water from in the house so the pool wasn't so cold!

One of my favorite summer memories: Every year I use to visit my grandmother, aunt and cousins (they all lived close to each other), in NY. They use to close the streets down and have block parties with the whole street. It was so much fun. When it got really hot we would open the "johnny pumps" (fire hydrants) and play in them. Of course they was stick ball, skully, mother may I, etc. The best days!

My favorite childhood summer memory would be gardening with my grandfather. Opa (grandfather in German) would talk the whole time, teaching me about plants and weather and the cycles of life. He always found a way to make things fun and interesting. I have my own garden now where I spend many of my favorite adult memories. Thanks as always for the chance to win. What a cute kit!
