Sponsor Giveaways: SewCute Shop

Sewcutegiveaway

One person will receive a Women's Auty Top from SewCute Shop (you will be able to choose your own fabric from her current stock):

Here's a little bit about SewCute Shop and Brandy's mission to do something really good for another family:

I started sewing sometime last year and fell in love. My grandmother (Nana) taught me the basics of pinning patterns, hemming, and seams. After being taught those skills I have really been a self-taught seamstress. I have a true love for putting the most trendy fabrics together and making 'SewCute' items. The items I place in SewCute Shop are my favorites and I am very happy to make them for you.

In March 2009 my best friend's little boy was suddenly diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) - a degenerative brain disease. The movie 'Lorenzo's Oil was made to bring awareness to this newly discovered disease. In early April, Joel, Teresa and Riley Greene aka TEAMGREENE were moved from Chattanooga, TN to Durham, NC where Riley would spend what they thought 100 days after receiving a bone marrow transplant. Due to complications, this week marks 133 TEAMGREENE has been in Duke Hospital.

I made a pledge to donate all proceeds from SewCute Shop to TEAMGREENE until they returned home in Chattanooga. For me sewing has become much more than just a hobby it has been a small part of what allows my best friend to stay by her son's side. For more information on TEAMGREENE visit www.carepages.com/carepages/teamgreene and create a username/password.

When I'm not sewing away I enjoy spending time with my fabulous husband, Ty and two children Autumn (9) and Tyler (2).

I had Brandy make one of these for Anna (see above) and one of these for me (love wearing it over my jeans) and they are awesome.

The One Hope Project works with Open Doors USA to raise money for Bibles for people who want a Bible but can't get one because of the country they live in.

American Heart Association....my dad has been struggling with heart disease for the last 15 years. Hopefully when my daughter grows up research will lead to a less intrusive way...

I very much love Thirst Relief International. It's an organization that brings filtering systems through for safe clean waters for families all over the world. Mostly in areas of India and Africa.

My charity that is dear to my heart is www.nationalmssociety.org My dh's aunt has it. 14 years ago when my dh and I met she was using a walker. Now she is completely bed ridden-unable to feed herself, unable to dress herself-totally dependant on nurses and family for her survival. Her legs are contracted up to her abdomen-she has had her tendons and ligaments cut in her legs trying to stretch them out straight to no avail. She has a pain pump in her abdomen to help with her pain. She is just like you and me except her physical body has failed her. When B was born, her mother died while birthing her. Can't help thinking there is some link between these events. More research needs to be done to help people struggling to survive with this heartbreaking disease.
It's nice to see there are some great people out there that do great things for others-

just a little side note....I may be in South Africa, but I do have a California address. I'm just wondering if my distance will keep me from ever winning because shipping costs :)
    Thanks!

What beautiful fabrics, and what a wonderful person. One of our favorites is Heifer International, where you can buy cows, chickens, goats, etc for families to provide a living, and they in turn give an offspring to another familiy and so forth. What a good cause.

How wonderful that you are doing this, and such lovely tops. My favorite charity is my local VNA, which provides hospice services, a testing van that travels around our area, and visiting nurses.

I love donating to charities that support local heroes...fire fighters and police officers. I am always humbled when I hear stories in our local paper or national news of men/women dying while on duty to keep us safe.

those are adorable - my favorite charity is http://www.compassion.com/default.htm - you get to sponsor a child from another country - but what I really love is that you get a chance to interact with your child. You get letters several times a year with pictures and you get to send back your own letters really giving you a chance to get to know each other a little.

My 2nd daughters best friend was diagnosed with diabeteslast year and it has had a profound effect on our family. We have had beautiful open discussions and taught the true meaning of loving unconditionally outside your family. JD has no cure at this point it can just be controlled.www.jdrf.org or watch this beautiful clip made by her mom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blaFAojMH7c

I love that dress for Anna! It's so amazing to find people who care that much about others. I love it.
The March of Dimes (www.marchofdimes.com) and their mission to give every baby a healthy start is the charity our family supports most of all. I have two babies who were born premature (my son was born at 31 weeks weighing 1 lb. 15 ozs. and my daughter was born at 24 weeks weighing 15 ozs) so thier cause is near and dear to my heart.

my favorite charity is my local church. I love to give on Sunday mornings knowing that what I give is being put to use in many different ways. And, while I love supporting organizations that provide for others miles and miles away - it feels good knowing what I give is helping right here in my local community.
