Today I'm joining a protest of perfection with a giveaway of my friend Dr. Brené Brown's new book The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You're Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are
I'm going to keep this simple: this book could change your life. You'll laugh, probably cry, learn a bunch about shame, resilience, kindness, letting go, compassion, mindfulness, and come out of the experience with ammunition for the fight against perfectionism.
Perfection is so over-rated. Imperfect is beautiful and real.

Bye-bye perfect, hello ME!!!! This book is perfect timing. Last night was GNO and I was playing Bunco with some ladies from church. It was a smaller group and just perfect. One of the ladies/Moms started releasing and letting us into her life that was not perfect and the struggles she was enduring. Enough to break any of our hearts. Before we left we prayed for her and told her we would continue to pray and thank you for letting us be able to share with her in her trials. This book is so up her alley. I would love to win this book so that I could drive it right over to her home with a hug. Otherwise I will have to e-mail her title and send her loving thoughts. Thanks for the book title, what a great book. :)
