I'm so sorry to hear of Lily's passing. May you find comfort in all of your wonderful memories of her. I pray that you and your kids are doing well. Hugs to you.

It hurts I know. We have been thru it not once but many times. We cried for days. Time does heal but we did get Bess our blacklab cremated and I often talk to the box she is in. So sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry to hear about Lily. Our oldest dog Lucy died in January and I still miss her hugely. Thinking of you all, it's hard x

Ali, Simon, and Anna, I'm so sorry for your loss. I think we all came to love your stories of Lily. We just adopted a border collie name Abby and it scares me sometimes how much I already love her. Our pets become so much apart of our family. I wish you and your family a time of healing and comforting memories.

My heart is breaking for you as I read this Ali! I have a black lab mix named Lily as well, and have often thought of your Lily when hanging out with mine.I know how much your Lily meant to you, but I am so very happy she passed on her own terms, peacefully, and that she lived a full life. How wonderful it will be to look back on all of the layouts, blog posts, and photos that you have documented of her life and of the integral role she played in the your lives. She will be missed but she will live on in your hearts and the pages of your albums! I know you will cherish the memories and the wonderful gift that she was. So very sorry again for your great loss.

I'm thinking of you and your family. Losing a dog is heart wrenching.

Lily knew you needed her that is why she stayed with you, I hope that you find healing and peace know that you and the kids will be ok and that Lily will always be by your side no matter how tough it gets.

When I saw the picture of Sweet Lily peeking out of the top of my browser, I said to myself, "Oh no. Please, no." Then I read the title and knew.

I always wonder if our sweet doggie companions know the place they hold in our hearts. The difference they make in our lives.

I'm sitting here crying like a baby because it reminds me of when I lost my sweet Ellie girl. She was with me through some very tough times...

I totally believe that Lily pulled through in 2011 to be with you during the turbulent times the last two years brought you.

So very sorry to hear about Lily. Let yourself feel the sadness..the only way through it is through is. Things will get better....day by day. As you can see by all the emails many of us understand just how big the loss is.
