Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

When I was young my mom would have Cuddily Cupid come to visit and bring us things while we were sleeping. I like to suprise my too this year with that as well. I think we may have a choc. cake too. I am really wanting one lately. (smile)

My husband's birthday is 2 days before 'V-Day', so we don't generally celebrate. I do help the kids make valentines for their teachers and classmates, and I always send them a little something special in their lunch (sugar cookies with pink frosting hearts are my favourite) but otherwise it's just another day for us.

We don't typically celebrate, but after a year of struggles, I'm thinking this will be the perfect year to celebrate my family's love!

I usually make a nice meal for my husband and I. For the girls I make cupcakes or cookies for dessert. I will probably make a card for my husband and for our two girls.

We don't have any special traditions yet, but I'm looking forward to gathering some from your comments list! It's our first valentine's day with a little one, so I'm hoping we'll be able to find a sitter and have a night out just the two of us. Thanks for the giveaways!

Depending on my husband's schedule, we may not celebrate ON valentine's day ... but regardless of which date we celebrate we try to leave the commercialism out of it and remember that it's a day to celebrate US. I make his favorite dinner ... he brings me something wonderful (like a favorite candy bar) and we have a night for ourselves.

We don't have any specific traditions other than celebrating with a special treat. Some great ideas here in the comments to get us started on some traditions though. - Carmen

We make handmade cards with my husband's family and exchange them. Recently, we started having a party where we invite young couples and their kids to come make valentines then we deliver them to the widows and widowers in our neighborhood!

We celebrate by anonymously giving out Valentines to those who would otherwise receive nothing. We are so blessed everyday that we want to share some of that good fortune with others and remind them that they too are loved.

Our anniversary is Feb. 7th, so each year we celebrate "A Week In Love". Starting on our anniversary, we each make a cute something for each other everyday, and put it somewhere where they will discover it during the day. Things like homemade cards, a can of mixed nuts with a note saying "I'm nuts about you!", coupon books, etc. Just a little something everyday to show one another how much we love and appreciate the other. It is so fun to give and receive all week long, and on V-day we finish off the celebration at breakfast with heart shaped pancakes, strawberries and whipped cream. This year our kids are old enough to join us, so we'll be celebrating "A Family In Love" all week - I can't wait!

Last year, my son made Valentines for all of my husband's co-workers. So we went to deliver them and have lunch with daddy. We'll be doing that again this year because it was so much fun.

Well, I try to make Valentine frosted homemade sugar cookies. They usually turn out to be quite a site. No one seems to care how they look b/c they taste fabulous!

Sad to say, our day has a lot to do with food. Lots of cut out hearts and things of all sorts in pink, red and white. All the other holidays revolve around food, why not add Valentines to the list?

Valentine's day used to be just about going to dinner at a restaurant with my hubby. Now it's so much more! We are truly growing our love while expecting our second son through adoption this year. We are excited to send a package of goodies to our son's birth mom to remind her how much love and respect we have for her.

I usually celebrate Valentine's day by making a special dinner and dessert for my family and buying them cards and a little something like a DVD for the boys or earrings or some type of girly thing for my girls. My husband and I don't usually get each other gifts because with 4 kids there's not alot of money left over. We usually get each other a card though.
