Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.
[ Three Things is a weekly product series : check out the archives here. ]

valentines Day is all about love not just romance so we have always included the kids...we love to get them sweet little treats and have a special dinner with them. The house is all decked out in hearts(handmade of course)

We always have heart shaped pasta, with garlic bread and we open up our presents which always include new Valentines jammies/nightgowns. We have a great collection going as this was a tradition my Mom did with me. Our kids always enjoy it and lately we have been adding valentine themed socks to go with the new jammies. They last a lot longer than flowers and chocolate. :) (not that I don't enjoy those)

I love those Elles studio new lines. Here in Australia, it's summer, so we developed a bit of a tradition of packing a cheese and wine picnic and heading down to the beach.

Fabulous giveaways, Ali! Thanks for the chance to win one..
I love that photo with the heartlights... too cool!
We don't ever go out for valentine's day... because everybody and his wife is doing that. The kids and I usually decorate the house, we make cards for each other, and we usually have something special for dinner, but that's about it.

My husband and I have the same birthday which is February 17. (We were born in the same hospital, same year, 11 hrs. apart:) We just kinda lump them all together and do our birthday & Valentine's at the same time. This year we will be traveling to visit friends where we use to live. It should be fun.

We spend this holiday at home with the kids as restaurants are always serving bad food with lots of waiting. we do make cards and light candles and have something special to enjoy together. Just tell each other you love them is a really good start

What a wonderful giveaway - thanks for the chance to win such great goodies. We don't do anything big, just little things with the kids. The kids and I try to come up with pink and red foods to eat - which always includes pink heart press cookies and strawberries, but also things like red bell peppers for the salad, red-skinned potatoes, and sometimes heart shaped pancakes with strawberries or raspberries. We also all like to make valentines, of course!

We hid fun and cute little gifts from "Cupid" that our kids hunt for. Similar to Easter Basket hiding. I don't know if other families hide the Easter baskets on Easter morning but we do and the kids love, so we adopting the same game for Valentines Day. Our 18 & 23 year old still love it just as much as the 11 & 4 year old do!

My husband and I have been together for 17 years, and on the first valentines day we were together, he got me a box of chocolates, jewelry, and perfume. He then said, "never expect this again. I don't do Valentines day, it is a Hallmark Holiday. Every Day should be Valentines day and if I don't make you feel loved and special everyday, then shame on me" and to this day, we have never celebrated another. And yes, everyday he makes me feel loved and cherished.

School parties!! We make homemade valentines for the kids classmates. I usually do heart pancakes (probably not this year since I'm working again....Hmmm...what day is Valentines?) I'll be using my new red dishes from taste of home! I love them! We don't do a huge deal, just enjoy the day!
Thanks for the chance!

I started cutting out red hearts and writing little thoughts on them, and hiding them where my husband and sons will find them. This was a big hit last year and I know they'll want it again this year!
I also make cards for each of them and make heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast and heart-shaped cakes for evening dessert.
Valentine's Day just makes me happy! I love the romance and sentiment of the "holiday" as well as the bright reds and pinks in the sea of white snow here in Michigan!
Thanks, Ali.
