What is your happiness today?

I think the definition of irony is what just happened. I am having a really blah, down in the dumps day and I click on your blog and VIOLA! A smile comes across my face because of this post. Thanks Ali.

My happiness is...
after a day of hard work, sitting in my little scraproom, with my sleeping two year old son right next door, reading your newest post while drinking my coffee, knowing that this evening of peace and quiet is well earned and all mine...

a very good doctors appointment :-). a first smile from Christiaan (one for Rutger and one for me). a more patient Victor. sunshine.

My little girl is starting ballet (she is almost three) She could not be happier right now in her tutu..I have a perma-smile today :-)

I don't have to work tomorrow and I'm going to see Rascal Flatts. Plus I'm getting a haircut, it majorly needs it!

Besides reading your blog everyday... my hubby, his big bear hugs and warm, soft kisses.

The smile of my husband and son when I came home from work. We belong together and that feeling makes me happy everyday:-)

at 3 1/2 months pregnant, knowing we're successfully out of our first trimester (it is a big moment for us, given we've had nearly a dozen miscarriages)...and other than the nausea and fatigue, feeling so good about it all!

The joy of our son on our school hunt today: the discovery of yet another new toy he doesn't know while we talk to teachers to find out whether this school is the right one for him.

Roller-blading on my lunch break (despite almost getting hit by a discourteous driver), Fresca Black Cherry soda, zachbraff.com, and volleyball tonight. Finding many things to be happy about today.

Knowing that today I helped a teen parent do something important in their education.

In the middle of the store, my two year old puts his arms out, asks me for a hug and says "I Love You Mommy." There's nothing better in the world!

driving along in the van, my kids see a construction worker walking out of Arby's. He is shirtless, skinny, very tan, and has long sweaty hair with a red bandana wrapped around his head and my boys are thrilled to see him. They start screaming "There's a pirate!!!" I dont know why it just made my day, i laughed out loud and it made me feel good to share that innocense with them!! I felt like we were in a scene of peter pan!! (It would have been better if J. Depp was sitting next to me in the van!!!)
