Super-sick Tuesday.
Tags:Today, in our quarantined little house (Simon has definitely joined Chris with the flu - I am still hanging on to health), we are definitely paying attention to what is going on around the country. Lots of checking things out online and switching back and forth between CNN and Fox News (gotta have a bit of both sides).
It is tremendously exciting to see so many people involved in the process. So many people voting rather than staying home; being a part of the entire process. Regardless of who you are supporting it is so cool to see so many people engaged rather than apathetic.
Some of you may remember that we had the opportunity to meet Barack Obama back in September. I continue to be inspired by him and am definitely supporting him (even though our primary is not until May 20th: grumble) and cheering him on today.
Many of you may have already seen this "yes we can" video. It's the words and the sentiment and the passion that I love. If you want to see the actual words from the speech go here (click the "about this video" tab).
If you have the opportunity in your state today, go vote.

to answer the previous post, all of obama's bio can be found on his website including the name of his place of worship: http://www.barackobama.com/learn/meet_barack.php
does it really matter what his faith is?

hi ali,
if you have to be stuck at home w/a sick kid (and husband), at least it's an exciting day for news. i, like you, am watching the news and just hoping that it's truly a super tuesday for obama. you can almost feel the energy in the air and his message of hope sweeping across our great country. thanks for passing that video along to people...the more people who hear it the better. i only wish more people had the opportunity to hear him in person.
stay healthy!

Yes we can! And yes I did, vote that is, in Illinois, Barack's home state. Working this evening, so I won't be able to watch the returns until I get home :(
Hope your family gets well soon - and you stay healthy!

Isn't it great that we live in a country where we can vote our values and beliefs? Yes, I voted today here in Illinois, and even though Obama is not my choice, I respect all those who make the effort to get out and cast a vote for the person of their choice! Hope the flu is short-lived in your house Ali!

Hi Ali...take Airbone!! Love the "gotta have a little of both" comment...I could never understand why my hubby was watching Fox!
THANK YOU to Maria (who posted above) for the link to Michelle Obama's speech too! I wish you all could have been at the UCLA rally...it was an incredible experience!

On my way to the polls with DH & 3 children. I think it's educational for the kids to experience (even though they'll probably end up driving us crazy, LOL)! GO BARACK! I feel a change coming in my bones, and it couldn't be any worse than our present "leadership". Take care, and hurry back with the inspo!

I voted today, well actually sent in my absentee ballot because I was going to be out of town today.
I'm glad we have that option. I love that my kids were interested in who we were voting for and wanted to know how the process worked.
Hope your family is well soon.

Nice video, but I don't have much respect for Obama since he made the choice to drop out of Michigan's ballot. I have no choice to not vote for him! haha. Stick on to the healthy side of things.. I hope you go your flu shot!
