Hi Ali, I'm also from Australia and am embarking on this wonderful challenge of recording my life. Like Steph it's now Monday night here and so far so good! I've loved taking my camera with me everywhere today and recording everything (will seriously cull later). Can't wait for Monday in the US! Bring it on! Lissa xx

Ali, I've been thinking about you as I reread a book that's always been one of my favorites: Plain and Simple: A Woman's Journey to the Amish, by Sue Bender. In it she writes about the everyday, ordinary, the joy and freedoms they bring. She followed up with another book, Everyday Sacred, which I also have and which I'll reread beginning tomorrow. They are a perfect accompaniment to this project of documenting the everyday life. It is still available through Amazon.
