One Little Word® | Past Album Walk-Throughs
As we get closer to the start of One Little Word® 2018 I took some time the other day to record a video walk-through of all my past One Little Word® albums from 2011 through 2017. This is the first time I've shared video walkthroughs of these projects. I hope it gives you a closer look at the way I've used the workshop prompts since 2011 to make my own words visible from year to year.
I'll be sharing more about my word for 2018 later this week.
There are many different ways that people live and work their words into their lives. As a memory keeper and someone who thrives on reflection and documentation, creating these albums each year is the number one way I experience life with my word. Each month I return to my album and work through a simple creative prompt that helps bring me back to my word and my initial January intentions.

Thanks so very much for the video walk-through Ali. I've been a class member most years since 2011, and even when I didn't complete every prompt, my OLW was such a wonderful companion - everything from a motivator to a friend when I was down. It was so fun to look back at all the things you've done with your words. For those who haven't taken the class yet, I'd like to mention that those monthly videos are also very fun and in-depth about the actual monthly prompt. So many ideas shared. And the FB group is also a wonderful place where I relate to the thoughts and feelings of so many OLW'ers. Thanks - I'm going to make time to do a walk-through of my own albums too!

Thank you, Ali, for sharing all of these. I am heartened by the fact that yours aren’t always “finished” in some portions. I struggle with always wanting perfection in my albums. So when I fall behind on the prompts I tend to just walk away from the documenting. I am going to try and embrace the imperfections that will happen in my album this year and just keep moving forward each month.
