Transitions Story Theme + September Stories By The Month

This month we are focusing on stories related to the theme of Transitions.

Here are a few thoughts about this particular theme:

Transitions are a big part of each of our lives. Some of them are big + some are so small that we barely notice them. Some are super, super hard and others are easy. Documenting and telling the stories of our transitional times (either while it’s happening or after the fact) help us savor what is real in our lives and identity the lessons learned.

Initial story ideas for this theme include:

  1. Sometimes it’s easier to tell the story of a transition after you’ve experienced it because we are often given the gift of perspective. Tell a story of a past transition and your lessons learned.
  2. Are you currently in the messy middle of a transition? Make a list of all the pieces that make up your right now.
  3. Not all transitions are negative. Tell a story of a super positive and happy transition.

NEW ADD ON OPTIONS FOR THIS MONTH

See additional add-on options below. Heads up that we are offering two additional items that will be available as Add Ons for Story Kit or Story Stamp subscribers when the new theme goes live tomorrow. Subscribers to the Story Kit or the Story Stamp will be able to purchase the Digital Story Kit for $10 and/or add the the 3x8 grey linen travel album to your kit/stamp shipment.

Offering the Digital Story Kit as an Add On is something we've been talking about for awhile and consider this to be a trial run - meaning we aren't committing to offering it this way indefinitely but want to test it out. We know that many of you are into hybrid scrapbooking (it's what I like to do most as well) and this will give those of you who want to manipulate the designs, print extras, etc. the ability to do so). We are looking at a few other structural changes to the subscriptions as well that you might see in future months.

If you add the Digital Story Kit it will appear in your My Digitals on the 15th around the time that the classroom opens.

If you subscribe to both the Story Kit and the Story Stamp you will continue to receive the Digital Story Kit for free.

What size album is recommended for this kit to best hold the pieces? Thank you.

Hi! That's totally up to you. People use a variety of sizes - 12x12, 9x12, 6x8, 3x8. Most of the projects I do these days are either 6x8 or 9x12.

Thank you very much! It's a beautiful kit and I think as a teacher starting virtual teaching I would love to document my journey.

The color scheme is very calming with the green. Great choices for the theme and a nice change of pace. ❤️ I’m looking forward to seeing the class content tomorrow...the stamping on the sneak looks amazing!!

I have loved the large-sized acrylic words in the kit each month, and the word this month looks great! The video introducing the kit mentioned the acrylic word will be "transitioning" (excuse the pun) to plastic in January. The words have been a valuable part of the kits. Can you speak to why the change is planned and what the new words will look like?

Hi! Yes, we are responding to community feedback to switch things up. We are considering a couple different options for the material for the word - the hope is to make it a more useable item for people who don't want the bulk of thick acrylic.
