Hybrid All Year Round
Tags:We are so excited to introduce you to Hybrid All Year Round, our newest workshop for hybrid storytellers from Creative Team member Jennie Rey!

Hybrid scrapbooking pairs printed digital products with traditional physical items to create one-of-a-kind pages that tell your story in a completely unique way. In this 15-lesson workshop, Jennie will share fun and creative techniques for incorporating digital products into paper memory keeping projects all year long.

Some of the fun techniques Jenny includes in her class are:
Enlarging digital journal cards, stamps, and chipboard pieces
Customizing and creating unique digital elements
Creating custom backgrounds and layered templates
Playing with digital cutting machines and other kinds of paper
Meet Jennie and learn more about her new workshop in this video introduction!
For this workshop, Jennie will be using the 2017 Stories by the Month™ Digital Kits to create projects specific to each month as well as show you how to use these digital products for other kinds of stories not related to the month. If you are interested in using these specific digital kits, they are available as a bundle that you can purchase from the shop.
In Hybrid All Year Round, Jennie will inspire you to "see" your digital products in new ways and use them as a tool to help you tell all kinds of stories!

I’m interested but don’t want to spend money on a digital program. Do you know of a free program for iMac that lets you manipulate digital products?

Unfortunately I do not know of any free programs that allow you to work with digital products with iMac. There are some paid apps like the Project Life app and Affinity that allow you to create with digital products. There are two tutorials on Ali's site for this kind of approach:

Hope this helps!
Thanks! I figured.
I am working with GIMP which is open source. It takes a bit of getting used to, but so far I was able to follow along with the tutorials filmed with photoshop, so it is a great option for me. Being open source it is free to download and you are asked to make a donation once you have tested the program and want to comtinue to use it.

How will this class differ from Ali's Self Paced Hybrid class? I've already taken that class and I am just wondering whether there will be a lot of overlap between the two classes.

I have the same question. Would love more information on how it supplements the self-paced Hybrid class.
The biggest difference is that this class is more inspiration focused (using the months of the year as the jumping off point) vs. technical. The original Hybrid is comes from a more technical place. You'll definitely learn some technical things in Jennie's class but the goal was simply more ideas + inspiration for telling your stories in this way.

You make my heart smile. Your English is excellent. Your pages are stunning. I can’t wait to learn from you. And I love how your family supports you. My daughter helped me do my video for my guest lesson last year. It takes a village. 😍

Just wanted to say I loved this video. I loved your story, your honesty and bravery. I follow you on instagram and really enjoy watching your creative processes. So excited to join this class and learn from you. Your English was just fine...I can only speak English so am always in awe of people who are multilingual. Looking forward to learning and being inspired. Thank you.

To take this class and participate, it sounds like it is necessary to also purchase the 2017 Stories by the Month Digital Kit. From the previous answer (about how it differs from the other hybrid class) it sounds like this class is mostly about using the 2017 kit to tell stories, rather than digital techniques. Is that accurate?

Hi! Jennie is using the 2017 SBTM digital kits to share her ideas + tips + techniques for telling stories throughout the year. The 2017 bundle is optional - you could totally adapt digital products that you might already have to the ideas she is sharing. I guess you could look at it like those are the "ingredients" she is using to show how to tell your stories (but you could totally substitute other "ingredients" that you might already have on hand to make something similar. Does that make sense?

Do we have lifetime access to the class? I still go back to lessons from the previous Hybrid class (which is really good and super helpful).
