I am super excited to announce the launch of my 6x8 Story Book albums.

We are starting off the collection with two pleather albums in two of my favorite basic colors: black and greige. Each album comes with a starter pack of 8 page protectors (includes different pocket configurations). Additional page protectors can be purchased here.

These are 6-ring albums with a 2.5 inch spine and stitching around the exterior and interior edges.

Over the last few months I've been playing around with the idea of creating a 6x8 album for each of the awesome kids that are now part of this family. I've also just been experimenting with 6x8 sized layouts to see what I think about them in general - are they a good match for the kinds of stories I'm into telling these days?

Most of the 6x8 layouts I've been making have been included in the Story Kit™ classrooms and I have grown really fond of this size. I'm not planning to quit doing the larger sized pages (both 12x12 and 8.5x11) or Project Life® spreads - they are all part of my overall memory keeping adventures - but I do love the 6x8 size. What I really love is having a choice based on the stories I want to tell. This size often feels just right for my photo-centered, story-based layouts along with a few intentional embellishments.

My goal is for each kid to have a 6x8 album that tells stories about them. They won't be albums that start at the newborn stage, they'll just be stories starting from this point going forward. I want to document stories about each one of them as they come up and as I feel inspired to record certain things I'm witnessing in their lives. They will be word/story heavy and they will communicate love.

In addition to the albums for the kids I will also have an annual album or an album that holds a couple of years depending on how many stories I tell that are this size. I could add these to my larger 12x12 albums but I like the idea of having a home for them that is smaller.

The layout above is one I made for a lesson in my Hybrid workshop which teaches you how to use digital products on paper projects. This is now a self-paced workshop that you can begin at anytime.

I was seriously so happy when I was finally able to put these layouts into albums.

Here's a video that will give you a closer look at these albums and I explain a bit more about how I plan to use them:

As always, thank you for your support of my brand and my mission to encourage and empower us all to value our own stories.

Give your projects a home!
